A Muskegon Legend Since 1926
From humble beginnings to becoming West Michigan's favorite hot dog destination, our story is as rich as our secret chili sauce!

The Greek Origins
In 1926, Greek immigrants George Baldas and Louie Coredas saw an opportunity in Muskegon's bustling industrial scene. They opened G&L sandwich shop on Western Ave., serving their famous 'red hots' to thousands of workers around the clock. Their secret chili sauce recipe became the foundation of our legendary hot dogs.

The Johnson Family Legacy
Today, brothers Peter and Trip Johnson carry on the G&L tradition. As sixth-generation Muskegon residents, they've expanded the business while staying true to George and Louie's original vision. Since 1995, they've brought G&L's famous chili dogs to more communities across Western Michigan.
